But New Orleans is on a "coast" - the Gult coast. He said it was "not really on the coast," so it must be inland a bit, right?
i guess so. but they do have a bridge like that in new orleans, the statue looks familiar too. could be anywhere tho.
Inland a bit. Not too far from great lakes but not too near.
"Not to far, but not too near." Such a helpful hint.
Lake Champlain?
Not on a lake.
125 miles from Chicago "as a crow flies"
And it's a 'peaceful place', like e.g. Battle Creek?
This wasn't a hint. Just an apreciation of the pics.
<HINTeler seems to focussed on hints by birth>
I think I share with you some passion for "second level" hints.
Maybe because I like latin names for plants like "pea aurea".
Are we on the Illinois River?
hmmm....pea auera... is it the peoria lock on illinois river?
Looks like it, doesn't it?
(The first photo must be taken from what is the left side of
this pic then.)
that's a picture i saw, when i googled images of illinois river. but i don't see any city nearby that would have the pier or whatnot in francis' picture. we'll just have to wait.
Well, and that's why I didn't post it - after looking at maps in the Bartholomew Atlas for "pea auera" ... and googling as well
The "pea auera" hint certainly did help, didn't it ......
well, illinois river was a good start. :-)
I believe dagmaraka has got an approximate answer with "Peoria."
But Tazewell contains Washington..
should i wait for francis to come on board and give us the verdict? i'll look for something to post in the meantime.
