hamburger: No, sorry it isn't an asylum or a prison or any other form of detention.

McTag: No it isn't in Ottawa. (And it's only the yanks, I think, who spell centre as center. We in Canada usually spell it centre. Wink) It isn't in the east, as c.i. had asked before, so it isn't in Ontario at all.

Smile

No, not in Newfoundland. Newfoundland is in the eastern half of Canada. And, as I've mentioned, this building is not in eastern Canada. Smile

Let me put it this way again.

Not eastern Canada. (So not Ontario or anywhere east of Ontario.)

Not the west coast.

Not Alberta.

Not Saskatchewan.

And I'll give this out for free. It isn't either of the territories or Nunavut.

What else could it be? Hmmmmm!!

Walter: Please look at the map I provided above, then my most recent post before this one. You should be able to narrow it down. Wink

I've got to get to bed!! Nighty night. Or, good morning where you are. Smile

Well, of course just Manitoba rests.

And since such a building must be situated in a bigger town, it only can be (in this case) Winnipeg.

But I have looked over that already ...

Well, it's either the (former) Manitoba College or the (former) Wesley College, now University of Winnipeg

Yes Manitoba, but not the University of Manitoba. The name of the building is right in the pic.

Should I give this to you? hmmmm....

You're so close I might as well I suppose. The building in question is called Wesley Hall. It began life as Wesley College, but is now a part of the University of Winnipeg. Winnipeg is the capital city of the province of Manitoba.

Please read more about it at the following link. Smile

Napoleon said that a man needs 6 hours of sleep, a woman needs 7 hours of sleep, and only an idiot needs 8 hours or more. I guess I'm an outright moron....

I figure that if the average person spends 1/3 of their life asleep, then every extra hour you spend in bed adds 2 more hours to your life span.

I fit in the "idiot" category. Wink I guess it doesn't matter too much, though, because I have great friends.

Trust me I sleep! Just not as much as I would like. *sigh*

Actually Walter, when I answered you earlier, I'd gotten up to use the "facilities" and just popped in on my way back to bed. So I did sleep some more although I kinda wish I'd just stayed up instead. Ugh!

Okay Walter, your turn!! Smile

I'm going to the "facilities" just now ... on the way to the bedroom

Therefore, some hints (which are slightly different to those, caprice gave before):
the function of this building changed pretty much than it was used originally.
It isn't a tourist spot, but more the place in front of it ["lol" to the last  ]. (Other than being a landmark within the city it is located in.)
