Walter: Well of course you can get it if you look at the URL! The point of the game is to not look at anything other than the image itself. Smile

Caprice, I think what ci meant is that your user description at left includes "Location: Canada". That's all, think he was joking a bit.

I never look at URL's until the game has stretched on forever and no one is close.

cjhsa: No fair! I thought he was asking location questions about the pic! Walter mentioned Pacram Hospitality and I didn't get his meaning until I looked at the URL of the pic. How else would he have known?

For margo! Smile

Yes in Canada
Yes a government building
Not Toronto
Not Ottawa
Not a city hall
Not the Legislative Building in Winnipeg
Not the BC Legislature Buildings, Vancouver

Thanks! (About the avatar.) Just wanted to put something else aside from the "name" one, which got tired pretty fast. I like whimsical stuff!

Equus: *L* Well no, that isn't the name of it, but I will give it to you. It's the Alberta Legislature.

Quote:
The Alberta Legislature is the seat of Alberta's provincial government and the province's foremost historical building. This beautiful Edwardian building was built in 1912 on the site of the original Fort Edmonton. Legislature Building tours are free, call for times. The beautiful landscaped grounds of the Alberta Legislature offer flowers, fountains and pools in summer and a skating rink in the winter.

The above quote came from the following URL: http://www.canadavacationplanner.com/listings/en/1589

Also to margo, the government buildings for British Columbia are situated in Victoria, as this is the capital city of the province, although I know Vancouver, being the larger city, is the better known of the two. Smile

Thanks. I wasn't sure what the proper term for it was. It looks like a very pleasant place for being so far north. Isn't the shopping mall in Edmonton bigger than than US' Mall of America?

I will post a new photo shortly if possible, but at the moment I'm in a library and can't do it from here. In the meantime here is its desciption:

The photo I'm looking at is a brick-and-wood mansion/estate house, of modest proportions, apparently one story with high ceiling (although the part of the building out of the picture may or may not have more stories) with an iron (maybe wood?) grille porch/entryway. On the well-tended front lawn is a old cannon set in concrete as decoration, and a flagpole flying the French flag. Big hint: this is not France nor a French territory. Specifically where is this and why is this building notable?
