Your avoiding the truth..perfection does not fail the tests put before it and if its known to be perfect its not even tested..would you expect your god to be tested does he compare to our perfection?? Does your god need these tests to attain enlightenment and if does not why does he imply we do?

In all due respect, I answered that question. Perhaps it was not what you want to hear or to your satisfaction and for that I apoligize.

Aaron, IMO, "if's" as it relates to God gets us into trouble as we attempt to equate God to us and our so very limited understanding of that God. "Amorality, good and evil" are our words and serve to express a clear delineation that allows us to realize we are making mistakes. When we apply those "words" to God, we get into trouble for then we assume good and evil as a duality and an "innate" part of man's blueprint. Bad, bad mistake, IMO.

That necessitates us to become inured to that evil and forces us to "live" with "it" as we build defenses to protect us from "it". In this regard we neglect to observe the harmony that is so prevalent around us that is a universal construct forcing us to separate ourselves from that construct and that is what created what we know as "evil". We will never be able to eliminate evil as long as we ignore the fact that we are a part of that construct rather than apart from it. Evil is nothing more than dis-harmony, and instead of reaching that understanding, we ignore it as we have learned to "live with evil". Not good. Not good at all. We like to allay blame, being the perfect creation we are. We don't like to to think of our culpability. It is much easier to point a finger. It's much easier to deal with believing we were "created flawed". That's impossible, when you truly think about it. The universe is not "flawed". Neither are we. It is just the vanity of our hubris that prevents us from admitting to that. It's time we stopped trying to "blame" God and admitted to our own mistakes and realize dis-harmony is not of that universal construct and begin to strive to reach global harmony, or we will indeed self destruct. No doubt about it. Global harmony is not a pipedream, it's a necessity. Hell is the alternative. What ever that might be. I votte for harmony. :a-ok:

first of all, we have to use "ifs" when we think about god because its impossible to know god.
if god does anything without a sense of morallity without guilt then he is being amoral. even if he came before or actually invented morallity. just as much as i make toast amorally. because i don't consider the rights and wrongs of it.

@franciscus,
In my opinion about god is they just put him there to say theres something to belive in from the real truth. I personally don't know the truth thats what i want to find out. What i know is churches are only goverment building's and they dont pay taxes so it makes me wonder.

@bundo,
If it was one hundred percent true, that would be a first for humanity... I trust we build up a picture of truth like a painter builds a picture of reality, by many brush strokes; and while the end product may be recognizable as true to reality, it never is, but is some times better, some times worse, and never exact...

@Alan McDougall,
OK..First of all about satan.
Satan is simply the most powerful demon in the universe.
BUT. Satan is infinitly less powerful than god.
Satan cannot lay a finger on god because he isnt powerful enough.
As for the is god evil thing well yes and no.
God contains everything. Infinite good and infinite evil.
There are the most wonderful beautiful things inside gods mind and also the most sick and twisted things in the universe.
The point is that god contains all evil BUT god is not evil.
God is infinitly good. The imperfect world is actually perfect.
So why do all the bad things happen you ask?
Simply that heaven is so good. Souls come to earth to take a holiday from heaven and experience suffering so when they get back to heaven its 1000 times better. Thats why all the bad things happen. Its for our own good. Some times god has to be cruel to be kind. DO NOT MISTAKE THIS FOR GOD BEING EVIL!!!!
But anyway yes....God is infinitly good and infinitly loves everyone.

So you reinvent him to fit your examination..This god is he the god of the bible or is he your invention?

I agree with you it is impossible for us with our limited understanding and words to describe the Infinite One.

It is more silly that a cockroach having a discussion about humans and what they are and what they do etc, etc, etc

Of course it is fun giving it a go.

The fun is having that much time to waste, because with time there are better things to waste it on...

@Fido,
Like posting responses to people telling them they are wasting time?
Or posting responses to responses of people responding to the response of time wasting as I am sure you would have had I not written this second sentence, yet you still may.

@Zetetic11235,
My god is sort of the god from the bible.
I mean I give the bible credit, at least it tells you that god exists which is something but the bible doesnt really tell you in a scientific way what god is. The bible gets you half way there but you have to fill in the gaps.
I honestly think that describing god as a beyond physical infinity powerful computer is the best scientific way to describe god.
The computers that we are now using are like baby/infinitly small gods.
The only difference betwen your pc and god is that god is infinitly bigger/more powerful and most importantly is alive! God...The ultimate living computer.
By computers getting more and more powerful we are getting closer and closer to reaching god. One day we will all be able to use gods mind.
One day we will all have infinitly powerful computers to spend all eternity using to do absolutly anything.
There will be an infinite number of songs,tv shows,foods,dimensions etc etc
Can no one here see how amasing an infinite computer would be?
I mean people are like oh yea i got a 2000 meg graphics card..wow isnt that amasing.
God is like well yea but I have an infinite meg graphics card. Top that!!!

OH !!!!! Man now a computer is going to catch up to god.

God is not a calculator, he just knows he does not thing he simple knows and does it.

As an ex computer specialist I can tell you the computer is as intelligent as a door nob and only does one thing, it adds in ones and zeroes
