@JLNobody,
Another fundamentalist question: Do you think that time is absolutely linear such that god might know what happens BEFORE it happens only because of god's exceptional power to do so, OR because time is linear only from our perspective but not from god's?

@JLNobody,
That doesn't make any difference; he knew who would sin and not make it to heaven. That's pre-determination any way one wishes to look at it.

@JLNobody,
..."God" is Logic itself made thing made action, of course not necessarily our logic which is the interpretation of the Law...and by Law in here I mean the fact, whatever is the case...

...Time is not linear of course which again bring us to the case that all state of affairs are actual...maybe that is why we have such a necessity of getting to truth since we, living in a linear frame of experience, cannot get to such holistic experience...

@JLNobody,
I like the question JL but I'd have to say neither of your provocations would be answerable. The word 'god' in conjunction with the words 'linear' and 'time' are a semantic mine field.

@TickTockMan,
Purpose is relative to the an individuals perspective. Humans are far spread in there ideals and beliefs. As a race we have many a purpose.

1:I don't know
2:No one can truly ever know unless they're god
3:"Reality is what is still there even when we stop believing in it" (I forget who said it) but then again we may only be real because you believe we are real

@jjphilosopher,
You are greater than 'God' because you are where the conception of 'God' came from.

Even if not directly, somewhere along the lines you must have 'prescribed' to this conception and accepted it.

@jjphilosopher,
(On your thrid point) Do you 'believe' in your teapot? Does it make sense to say we need 'belief' in reality or is reality something that doesn't need any form of 'belief' in order for it to remain 'real'? So, to put it another way, what exactly is 'real'?

One cannot answer for the many. If you seek to know all humanity's purpose, you must ask yourself why are you searching for this answer.

@Procrustes,
After asking if there is a purpose to us as humans, it might be a good idea to ask if there is a purpose to that question.

@Cyracuz,
I think the question could also mean 'what is humanity's purpose?' and if so, aksing what is the purpose of that question would shed light on the fact that humans seek meaning. And so, it might beg further questions such as 'why do we seek any kind of meaning in life in the first place rather than having a 'go with the flow' attitude?' To put in another way, 'Why purpose and why that purpose?' And Cyracuz, yes. It would still be a good idea to ask if there is any purpose to any of these questions that I have just mentioned.
