You are correct. I love that film. Errol Flynn was the best Robin Hood ever in my opinion.
Sorry- I was abducted by aliens over the weekend.
The answer to my quote WAS from a John Wayne movie: "McClintock"- immediately before the brawl in the giant mud pit.
Equus,
...Were you ...uh...probed?
Bobsmyth,
...What about Kevin Costner, and his mid-western accent?
Oh yeah Equus,...that might prove my theory about being used in more than one movie. To my knowledge, I've never seen "McClintock
guess the movie from the quote

I think I prefer Cary Elwes (in Robin Hood: Men in Tights)

Well, I KNOW I've never seen McClintock, but I still think of North to Alaska when I look at the quote
. Snood, you da man
; give us a quote
"If I'm right, then we're at war, and God help us all.""
guess the movie from the quote
Independence Day?
sweetcomplication Errol Flynn could take Cary Elwes with one hand tied behind his back. That is as long as it wasn't his sword hand. The sword work with Basil Rathbone who was one if not the best swordsman in Hollywood were really well done. I must admit Cary impressed me tremendously in The Pricess Bride.
Sorry. The Princess Bride.

Bob, it was a JOKE. Robin Hood: Men in Tights is a parody/satire, so I was just kidding
Booman -- Kevin Costner's accent doesn't bother me. When I first saw Dances with Wolves I had a unique theatre experience. I lived in Madeira when the film came out. Part of the film was spoken in Sioux and my Sioux was really rusty. Dubbing since I was in a Potuguese speaking country was of course in Portuguese. I hadn't a clue to what was being said.
Bob,
...Ordinarily, it doesn't bother me. Hell I'm a midwesterner! But for Robin Hood it was a tad distracting, especially since I love English accents, so much.
sweetcomplication
Whoops! Well you put one over on me. That's of course like shooting fish in a barrel. Meet your local fish Bob.
The Hunt for Red October.
snood, did you see sweetcomplication's guess on the previous page of Independence Day?
guess the movie from the quote

Hey, mac, even if my guess is incorrect, I want to acknowledge your kindness in directing Snood to it!
sweet cee
I had thought it was something I had reard more recently, but that does sound like "President" Morgan Freeman, right? ....( Speaking of mr. Freeman; from president, to God, does he have presence, or what?)
