Never Say Die (Bob Hope Movie)
I read some interesting things about Preston Sturgess. His mother gave Isadora Duncan the scarf that was the cause of her death and he invented a "kiss-proof lipstick" and vibrationless diesel engine. How about that?

Raggedy,
Yes to Never say die.
Its where they must have got the idea from for the Danny Kaye Court Jester phrase " The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true! "
Thats interesting about Preston Sturges, have you ever noticed how some people have so much talent. I was reading about Bert Fields at the weekend and apart from being the world's best known litigator he has also written several books both fiction and non fiction, one about Shakespeare.
It makes one feel sort of humble.

I think a book about Bert Fields would be fascinating.

I can't find my CD of Clerks to tell you if the 'dude' is right, but that's certainly the film the quote is from
I thought it was from Jay though

He's superb, and Leon is certainly his masterpiece. Although he did a mean job of Ronin, but didn't quite save it from mediocre action.
Right, let's try this one for size:
"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need...roads."

Back to the future
I enjoyed Ronin, thought it was quite good, I'd certainly watch it again.

I think it is a case of a film having everything it needs to become a classic, but falls short. In my mind that's worse than a mediocre one.
yes BTTF, your turn.
