OK what about this one :-

"Can't get the bike started. Cops
are coming. Stuck in the middle of
nowhere with a stolen bike. Yeah,
Mike. Looks like this is the end. "

I can only think of two movies at the moment where someone might have stolen a bike - either Easy Rider or the 50s Marlon Brando motorcycle gang movie that I can't remember the name of . . . I favor the latter, even though I don't think I've seen either.

This is dragging on and I don't want to hold people up.

Its Scott Favor played by Keanu Reeves to Mike Waters played by the late River Phoenix in My Private Idaho

How about this one :-

"I think that when statesmen forsake their own private conscience for the sake of their public duties, they lead their country by a short route to chaos. "

Hiama: A wild guess: Since Josephine's name was Beauharnais, it might be a movie about Napoleon. I'll guess "Desiree".
