Thanks! This is a rough poem I threw together in about five minutes which are intended as song lyrics for a new song I have been working on. I generally start out with a rhythmic poem like this and twist it a bit so that the words, melody, and rhythm blend together. I always find song lyrics are often the most difficult things to write because of the extra constraints placed on the lyricist. Sometimes what makes absolutely no sense ends up sounding the best within the song. I am trying to balance the two.

When our lives converge

A new boss will emerge

Those of high classes

Turn to the masses

Then we are the asses to purge

Filipe de Albuquerque is my actual name, being Albuquerque in particular referred to my ascendency to the AFONSO DE ALBUQUEQUE which was a Portuguese noble man, Vice King in India in the fifteen century for the Portuguese crown... that said, I am from Portugal, so closer to Italy and its affairs in Europe...

I suppose the City of Albuquerque has its name due to some descendent who went to the USA and was important to the the place, but I am not sure...

Oh, but you have connected with an older woman new to albuquerque who happened to have spent years looking into italian history. We can probably have fun arguing. I am mostly bereft of southwest us history, but others here know a great deal. Much as I toss off my own knowledge, there is a rich history here.

Why was he called the Duke of Albuquerque if Albuquerque is positively a Portuguese name that directly relates to Afonso de Albuquerque ? There must be some more to it...
