Light never reached our world,
We have had only heard of it
from passersby stories,
A world of blind they called us'
They made jokes and they laughed,
Because light never reached our world.
But we could smell the fear of death
in them all, that fear that brought wars
in their heads, full of pride,
Because they could see what we could not'
They made jokes and they laughed,
Because light never reached our world.
They could see, they said, planets and suns,
Beauty they had, they said, in their worlds,
But we knew what wars have made to their worlds,
We knew what ugliness was, they never said that to us'
They made jokes and they laughed,
Because light never reached our world.
@diamantis,
Very beautiful. I don't get it though... I'm not very good at understanding poetry. Could you explain it to me?
