You have just won the star prize in a local competition which is you get to eat at your fav restaurant as many nights a week as you like FOR LIFE!

So how many times a week do you want to eat out? pick a number between 1-7 nights

multiply the number you chose by 2

add 5

multiply by 50 (I'll wait while you get your calculator)

If you have already had your birthday this year add 1753 if NOT add 1752

subtract the four digit number of the year you were born

you are left with a three digit number, the first digit is the number of nights you chose to eat out, the next two are your AGE!

Explain how it works.

OH for god sakes.

Do the F-ing math, man.

Won't work if you're over 100, and and in 2004 you have to change 1753/1752 to 1754/1753...

I already jumped down some guys throat for this bit of trash.

Do the math. High school algebra fer crissakes.

I've never seen SealPoet in such a funk. Some of the kiddies here might find the riddle entertaining, I dunno.

Okay... Frank caught me on a BAD day earlier this week. I busted his aggies for it. Then I apologized, so I'll apologise here as well. sorry Kev.

Now, I saw sweetiepete's post once, but didn't have either the time or lucidity or both to solve it...

But this one...

Step 1) n
Step 2) 2*n
Step 3) 2*n + 5
Step 4) (2*n + 5)*50 = 100*n + 250
Step 5) 100*n + 250 + 1753 = 100*n + 2003
Step 6) 100*n + 2003 - birthyear

2003 is this year. 2003 - birthyear is your age. 100*n puts n in the third place.

Okay.

Frank (at work) sent me a website the next day with an email message saying 'Solve this one'.

By the time he came downstairs to harrass me, I had figured it out.

Shall I remember it? Or shall I send myself the link from work and post it here (Monday evening)?
