Devolution

One cannot argue with a fool
This should be a golden rule
Facts for fools forever change
The stars themselves will rearrange
And blue will turn a different hue
To suite a foolish point of view

For fools there is strength in number
They multiply when others slumber
And one can find them in our schools
Turning children into fools
With consensus, the world they capture;
Make it Hell, then wait for rapture

Wish the wind into a twist
To take the foolish from our midst
And the wind will come for thee
As justice is for those who see
Conscience crushes higher wills
And foolish prophecy fulfills

So see? It 'aint your world no more
Call it evenin' up the score
So find yerself a happy place
An' be shore to vote 'n the next race
'Tween Senator Dumbass 'n What's-his-face
