I have some file from work, which i need to work on at the moment. However, it is now saying that i dnt have access to the file while using home computer. I just wonder how can i get owner over the file and open it. I need to work on it asap.

what type of file?
Excell? word? office doc? PDF? notepad?

I'm not familiar with *.7z files.
because this problem involves several different types of files I suspect there may be some kind of encryption involved, however thats a wild stab in the dark.
If you hang around we have some techies who pop in once or twic a day perhaps they can help.
What is the exact wording of the message you recieve when you try to open the file(s)
