I have a brand new laptop that is supposed to have 90 Norton Antivirus protection. I have looked high and low and can't find it on the computer. How can I determine if indeed I have it?

I assume you've checked Start>Programs, and also Start>>Control Panel>Settings>Add or Remove. If it doesn't show up there, you could try Start>Search, using either Norton Anti Virus, or Symantec as your search terms. It showed up under both those terms for me.

If these efforts have failed, you could check with the manufacturer or your dealer. Since It's a laptop, you do have the advantage of being able to take it in to a dealer or service place, and just plain ask, face-to-face.

Good hunting.

Norton AV's exe file name will be one of the following: NAVW32.EXE, N32SCANW.EXE or NAVNT.EXE

If none of those turn up in a search the program hasn't been installed yet.

Did you get any kind of rescue/recovery/installation disc with your new laptop?

No r/r/i disk. It's supposed to have a 90 day service.
