Our older bastard cousin Abuzz seems down. For the count finally I wonder?

Having Abuzz online is like having Madonna at a picnic with no panties on........keeps the flies away......... :wink:

I suspect a number of the ghouls have already been here and have been ejected or successfully neutralized and do not post or have cleaned up their act. For example I have not seen massagato around lately. Many of them may have been scared away because this is a monitored site.
That's what I love about A2K. We have great zappers :-D
I don't know about y'all, but I miss Abuzz when it's down. It may well be down for the count and out on a KO this time.
I didn't even know it was down until I read it here. I haven't missed abuzz in many years.

Abuzz will be missed because theres something to be said about free wheeling insanity and unbridled creativity. Ill miss chaiyahs "chicken little" act , if she were right, this planet would have been cosmic dust in 2000. Or howabout NY Zinger, he was a real honest-to-god squirrel.
I hope blacksmithin and 400 got off the ship before it went down.

Won't help you much, Abuzz had a no index or no follow meta tag on most of their pages so other sites were not allowed to index the threads.

Chaiyah is an a2k member, and was quite active immediately after joining. You didn't catch her posts?

Maybe it's just taking one of those slow loading spells. It does that, ya know.
Here's an optimist's take on it: They're revamping the site, reinstating live moderators like Eric Foster and Randy Brandenburg and cleaning up the whole act. NYT Digital has seen the light and opted for a cleaner, gentler, more compassionate Abuzz.

They've got a ready made replacement called ICERED. Saw a few familiar names there to. Bobsal and Dr Kak to name just two (or one!)
LOL! Icered came to Abuzz asking us to retrieve Bobsal - they felt he was ours, and they weren't happy!
Abuzz is still down.
All I can say is (sigh), "requescat in pace".
I did a google search for icered for fun, and it comes up a site for management professionals based in Hong Kong...I may be missing something...besides that, I don't need another chat room in my life.
I spend too much time here and there as it is. No Abuzz will free up some time I have other wise wasted there, and on top of that, I'm a much nicer person here, because you guys are so much nicer here.
