@Butrflynet,
I understand that unannounced visits are a must but to give him a key so he can come and look through our windows does not sound like something that I want. Plus one of the reasions we moved here was so we had the added security of two locked doors. Why should we have to have our sense of security infringed on? Why is knocking an issue. It woul.d still be unannounced since we wouldnt know when he will show up. Why should we have to chance our belongings on the terrace being stolen because we have to leave it open?

He will be meeting with this new PO today. We have installed a doorbell. We will see what he says to this. But if he still demands a key or for us to leave that door unlocked I will be calling the parole board or whom ever I have to and complain. My only worry is that this will negitivaly affect my husband. This is something I would never want to do since he doesnt deserve this. Like I have said before he has done everything right since he has gotten out.

@chinarican,
If you have to - I would suggest the route of the key rather than leaving things unlocked. Hopefully, if the state has done its job correctly, the PO would not use the key other than what is appropriate.

@chinarican,
I think I misunderstood the question. They key gives access to the door, and not the interior of the house is what I now understand. Sounds necessary to his job, and doesn't interfere with your own privacy or security. I think you are going to have to comply, if you don't want to see your husband violated.
