Is cloud hosting really going to benefit my enterprise in terms of IT costs reduction and scalability issues.

It's worth looking into. Ultimately I think most businesses will run that way.

The "cloud" offerings today are typically just off-site server hosting. Sometimes the servers are virtual, which actually approaches real "cloud" computing.
