@OmSigDAVID,
so you subscribe to the theory that dead men tell no tales, and survivors sue.

that has some moral holes in it, you understand...

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the update, Ed. I am worried that he will say he had no intention of shooting at the car, but he was shocked and disorientated by the collision, and was trying to "get away" from someone who he thought had tried to murder him. Dont be surprised if he discovers a head injury. I would love to know what taped interviews the Police have...they wouldnt have charged him with murder if they didnt have a good case. Maybe the murder charge is prepositioning for plea bargaining for manslaughter. Any way, Dave is right. He should get the maximum.

I lost my best friend in the army when we were both 19. They found so little of him they glued bricks in the coffin. Every year I feel a little guilty, a little sad, and very lucky to have lived.

A 13 yr old girl. God how awful.

I can understand feeling a little guilty, but I would hazzard to say you don't deserve to feel that way.

To my mind, based upon the facts as undisputed by defendant, this was malicious murder.
If someone aims at a car, trying to shoot the people therein
and he succeeds, in circumstances wherein that car is leaving,
this is indefensible. The facts show that he wanted to shoot them,
he shot at them and he hit his target = malicious murder, unprovoked.

If there is any reason against inflicting capital punishment,
that 's more than I can discern.

@Ionus,
Unless u caused your friend' s death,
u have no reason to feel guilty for it.
