Your eyes where blank
Your hurt inside was acid sharp
Emotive pain
Love was burnt
Your trust was dead & stiff
He cheated in a heartless way
Had told you he was yours forever
Then dabbled with another's heart
Left evidence on his debit card
In his car & in his flat
Tears cascaded from your eyes
Lips trembled
And your shoulders heaved
He said, "It was a daft mistake
I wont repeat" he promised you
You forgave, but didn't forget
This you told me recently
Then his encore came to pass
He was a serial cheat
With yet another girl he met
Like a knife in your back
How your heart bled like a flood
A year ago I tried to warn you
Sister dear he was a leech
He'd drained you of your pride
Devoured your strength
Milked your bankbook
Victimized you heart & soul
I hope he'll think of in future times
I think he'll just shrug his shoulders
And carry on, his ego shiny bright
You should have told me of more pain
Instead you left an empty bottle by your bed
