K,
As far as getting what you want for a computer, I built my own computer. (read: I bought all the parts and had my friend put it all together for a 6 pack of beer)
It's a really great gaming computer. I run all kinds of system of a hog games on it and it does it like a champ. I paid 800 bucks for everything including a 24" wide screen screen.
I am sure, very sure, that you can get what you want in a computer if you buy the parts yourself (of course with help from friends here if this is the route you want to go) for your price range. Parts are cheap, it's the labor from the big name places that you end up paying for.
@DrewDad,
Alternate method: Go to
www.acer.com. You may have to select your country. Click Service and support-> Driver download. Follow the procedure above.
Next, open the folder where you downloaded the file. (If you're using Firefox, right click the file in the download window and select "open containing folder".)
Right-click the file and select "extract all".
@DrewDad,
Finally, open the extracted folder and run setup.exe.
Bought a new laptop (ASUS) today. I haven't been able to get to the interent at all for the last 24 hours. It was time. I just plugged in.....
