I'm driving the truck that the plow hooks to...

and the S10 is back where it lives. with the door back on it with new hinges.

nightmare job. but I did it, in one shot without any mis-steps, and it doesn't squeak or sag. sometimes I forget how fun it is to do stuff other folks can't...

now I gotta make me something to eat, and get to bed before the middle of the night. tomorrow I gotta go tow a rabbit to it's final resting place for $210 a ton. mebbe a buick too, if I'm feelin' froggy...

still up. oh well...

heating some water for a shower. I have iron dust all over me again. I hate the smell of it, especially when I sweat...

and since the shop was all toasty (happy bubba face) I used some of my left over energy to make a stand for my halogen work lamps. used some scraps, a bent vw wheel and an old alternator pulley. it works very nicely. wish I had had it when I was working on the door...shop is all cleaned up, and ready for the next job. hopefully a paying one. but I have unlimited use of the wood splitter, and a truck to use for a while as needed.

hopefully I can haul enough scrap to go see the doctor again, and maybe look at getting a vehicle up and going for myself again.

face update:

gash on my forehead is healing nicely nicely.

the cut on the bridge of my nose is not doing as well. it keeps opening up on me, but it's not serious, just ugly...

Sorry about the gashes. ow. I think scars look like character markings. You should have a lot of character...hopefully you will decide these last two are enough.

definitely not very froggy yet...

but. mind over matter, I gotta drag my lousy ass into the truck and go.

scrapper closes at 5:30, and they don't mess around...

gonna bring some clean clothes and stop for the evening at mr vw's prolly. I'm outta soup here, and need to eat. gonna take a real shower and eat over to his place when I get done getting over the hump, and get some cash to lubricate my life a little.

it could be worse. my power could be out.

mr vw had his well pump die just before the new year. he went 4 days without running water, and has a completely new respect for my existence...

I can't even imagine. I think you are probably one of the bravest folks I know.

I can bathe here, but I was going to take a 30 minute, exhaust all the hot water, steam up the bathroom kinda shower...

Actually, bubba is the one that is always stinky. she plays in the mud. at least I hope it's mud...

She's the one that shows up at a baby shower driving the slider truck.

turned the lights out in the shop. gonna do well just to haul water jugs tonight. feeling the effects of last nights productivity.

no check still. and no call back from snowplow guy about the distributor.

gonna clean out my oven (potato explosion) and bake me a potato for dinner, then try to crash early in hopes of a better tomorrow with extra sleep...

beautiful weather today. that usually bodes unwell for the next one this time of year. I've not looked to see, as I have enough wood to cover the foreseeable future.

wishing the doc would tell me about my tests without having to make another office call.

Eh...I have always been more of a Bailey Quarters kind of gal. Though curvy - still no bombshell. I am perfectly content with that.

snowplow guy brought me a distributor (finally) and Ima drop it in and go see mr vw, I think. not enough time to get to the scrapper, but I can get my dolly all loaded and ready to just hook up and roll tomorrow.(and do the shower thing) and then stop at wally's for some more soup...

gonna help mr vw with a 2002 Beetle we bought to make run for his new driver. gotta get the right door to open. and it has no power inside the cabin. we towed it off for $500. and it runs and drives now. but has some stinky weird problems yet to overcome. but it's red. mostly...

done with my breakfast soup, gonna crawl up on the engine of the 4x4 and change the distributor out. then see how much day I got left in me.
