People are thoughtless. Most people haven't an idea what empathy is or how important it is. You were sweet to go check on her. She was a horses petoot for not calling.

Well...it's good. Today was a low key day. I got all of the laundry folded and put away. Was going to have another little one stay with us tonight but his family ended up going to the hunting camp last minute - so I have been granted a reprieve until tomorrow night. Smile

We are having stew and mashed taters tonight. Gives me heartburn just thinking about it for some reason. Rolling Eyes

AND the dog at my feet apparently has gas.

Which really is not so pleasant. Good grief.

I always blame it on the dog, too...

I need to go in and make smoky and me some cornbread. he eats jiffy. I am trying something new. the last GF batch I tried left me unimpressed...

Ima do some laundry, and finish smoky's washing up. he can't stand at the sink long enough to do it.

I gotta be in and out to keep a eye on the cornbreads...

I'm too wonky to work in the shop tonight, much as I need to. oh well...

got a cornbread worth all the trouble of makin it, finally.

tasty and sweet. I could tell whilst it was baking that it was gonna be better than that bob's mill crud. (although it does look like soup when you mix it. all this GF stuff is weird when it starts out, though)

this is made by Pamela's. makes me think of ornery canajun wimmins, although for the life of me, I cannot figger out why.

most of her stuff is top notch, btw...

It is very very good. among the better cornbreads I've made with gluten or not.

I love it when I find something that is not just a compromise, but actually tastes good. and the texture is right...

and don't call her Pam, whatever you do.
