@Setanta,
Outrage by Proxy....do you realise what a statment like that can induce in a creative mind...I don't know either, perhaps a creative person will come along and let us know.

I'll check back in later, as soon as I finish waterboarding some poodles.

When you're trying to be outraged, it doesn't work.

As if it wasn't confusing enough that your seasons are phase-shifted. Why oh why can't you separate them by solstices and equinoxes like everybody else?

Nah - end of January - end of summer.
End of May - end of autumn
End of August - end of winter
End of November - end of spring.

As there's very little to mark the change in seasons, weather-wise, we may as well do it this way!. It's just neater! Them equisolstnoxes are too hard to remember!

Autumn came in today with bucketing rain.

Could one of you nice folks be outraged for me, and let me know how it works out for ya?
I did that during the Kennedy Administration. In retrospect: it was too much work.

What kind of a world are we living in where a man usually filled to the brim with mostly justifiable outrage is spent? Can't work himself up to being even moderately pissed.

Horrifying.

How much inanity, stupidity, inhumanity, cruelty, braggadocio, wrong-headedness, ineptitude, misinformation, and perversion can one person take.

Back off, world. Let Set replenish the fires, restore his senses.

How was that?

This whole by proxy thing is becoming fascination.

Münchhausen's by proxy, for instance.

Life has come to a pretty fine pass when one cannot even be crazy without a poor proxy!

I am almost outraged.

Nonsense.

We simply choose not to let such planet vs sun issues push us around unduly.

You want me to be outraged for you? I'm game.

I thought about them...well as in the band from the movie "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey, one of their songs is in my fav list on youtube...then of course there is the medical term....I have a cousin that we call Munchhausen, or the baroness as a nickname, because one of her children has had every illness known to man, at least until a dozen tests are done and she finally has to accept that maybe, just maybe the child might not have had that disease to start with....I've never even heard her as much as cough....her other child could be bleeding from his eyes or missing a limb, and she will say...oh he's fine.
