Name a protist that has both plant and animal characteristics?

The euglena. It's motile but also contains chloroplasts. Back in ancient times when I was a kid there were only two kingdoms, plant and animal. The euglena caused all sorts of contention between zoologists and botanists because of your title characteristics. Was it a plant or animal? Now it's no problem: it's a protist.
