One of my friends contacted me after she discovered she had a 'virus'. When I checked, I found her problem was caused by something called 'AntiVir 2010 Trial version edition'. After trying to uninstall it, this thing continued to prevent browsing, so I decided to try the System Restore and that worked. I have not been able to find any other reports regarding this particular 'program/virus'. When I Googled for information what I found seemed to indicate this 'program' was genuine, yet I have 'print screen' evidence that this program is dangerous and a ruddy virus.
I am oh so confused.

@drillersmum,
It's a fake program. Lie-ware, or extortion-ware, it tries to get you to pay to "activate" the fake program.
