These three pictures are Autochromes of Hampshire / Dorset in 1907.

Launched by the Lumiere brothers in 1907, the Autochrome was the first practical colour photographic process. English Autochromes are rare, though a number of collections do exist, dating from between 1907 and 1936.

All three images taken by Alex Embleton’s great-grandfather, and (c) Alex Embleton.

Does anybody recognsise the location?

These photographs are clearly doctored! Everyone knows that England didn't get colorized until after World War II!
