Great final, the better man won but Andy not disgraced, his turn will come. At 22 he has a few more years ahead.

Federer is just too good.

I wonder if he can win the French (with Nadal fighting the injury)?

So true, the Fed is the man. Sorry for Murray. I think Henman would have won more if he hadn't been out there with Sampras and now Murray has Federer.

Timing is everything, as they say.

Federer sure looks solid though. His game is balanced forehand to backhand, he moves very well and doesn't expend too much energy doing it. His serve is very good, his volley is very good, he's not a "head case" and his strategic choices are as good as any coach. He faltered at the US Open, but (not to take anything away from Del Potro who played very well) he had just become a father and may have been somewhat distracted.

I would love to see Federer win a Grand Slam. With Nadal having injury problems Fed might be able to take the French (which I suspect is the hardest surface for him to win on). After that, his chances to win Wimbledon and the US Open are pretty good (as long as he doesn't get injured).

So, you all root for blokes from your country?

Maybe it is from my growing up in Los Angeles - I looked around more widely.

In Australia, that has an entirely different meaning, I suspect!
