Shitzu or Cocker Spaniel

The ideal breed is of course a cross between the two, known commonly as the ****-Cock

both are good I have had both and they all make good pets with kids.

Both are fine breeds for families. Keep in mind that Shitzu's might develop breathing problems later in life due to their style of noses. And both are relatively high maintenance - grooming wise.

Both tend to have pretty long lives.

Whatever you can get from a rescue group or very reliable breeder will do.
