I see that there aren't very many anime topics on here and I am really into it. I love anime. If anyone else likes anime, post some shows you like and why you like them.
Know next to nothing about it. Can you give me some idea as to what this genre is about?
Anime is about giant robots, nudity, and violence. Sometimes, anime is also romance, comedy, and drama. Anime is a type of Japanese cartoon, like in America, but very well drawn.
What anime is...
Japanese animation. Anime for short. Cool char.s, and weird ideas. Like robots that are invincible (cyborg 009), or people who can shoot energy beams (DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho). Rurouni Kenshin is about a wandering samurai who used to kill lots of people.
Doest have any relation to sci-fi?
I like X rated "Dr Ogenki's Clinic".

Yes, it does have relation to sci-fi. A lot of anime is about sci-fi, like Crest of the Stars. Lol, yes fbaezer, I see you like hentai, huh?

Its too bad that shallowman doesn't like hentai that much. I do. hahaha. I think most of them are funny. And the girls in Bubble gum crisis and.... hmmmm, what was that other show.... i forgot, oh well,

Ah hentai, when done badly, is just pretty damn funny. Sometimes Bible Black is very funny.
I like the original La Blue Girl. That is very well done.

Yeah Neon Genisis Evangelion is sweet. I also like the gundams.
Oh I forgot. Inu-Yasha is also cool, and Trigun.
A lot of Dragonball-like stuff is shown on TV here. Sometimes other Animes are shown on TV in the late night program in Japanese with English caption.
All Anime stuff I've seen so far is either way too hectic or too dark and kind of depressing in a confusing way for me.
Well not my genre I guess...
