Either it is god, because dogs are carnivorous and the others are mainly herbivorous; or

It's god because the other six pair up: hares and rabbits are related, marmosets and monkeys are related, and pigs and deer are both ... well this one doesn't work so well...(wild) pigs and deer are both hunted?

I think that's "hare", which is another word for "rabbit."

"Monkey" is definitely the only one misspelled backwards, but was that just a typo, Craven?
