Is there a game like Test Drive Unlimited where you can drive around, buy car and houses and join in races?

Plenty of racing games out there... not sure about the buying houses part of the video game....
Gran Turismo has always been my favorite driving franchise though I don't think the publisher has the brains to make such an obvious decision to bring the game to the PC.
