These are songs that I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I like. If there's a song that you're a little embarrassed to admit you like - feel free to post it here:

I love this melody and this video (as schmaltzy as it is). I watch it at least once every three days or so - (this Daniel Powter does have beautiful eyes) but that's not why I watch it - I watch it because I like the idea of the video...

@Bi-Polar Bear,
yeah, Kiss - I can go with being embarrassed to like that - and I never heard MacArthur Park by Richard Harris before - is that THE Richard Harris (hellraiser extraordinaire)?

Here's another I've always been embarrassed that I liked-remember Tone Loc

Well, yeah, but Richard Harris is dead, now.

@edgarblythe,
Yeah - but which Richard Harris is that? Is that now or before now?

@aidan,
During the Third World War, I was a little embarrassed
to like the song about going to San Francisco with flowers in your hair.
It implied victory for the evil side.

(It did not work out that way.)

@OmSigDAVID,
I LOVE that song:

I'm also not embarrassed to admit that I love this song by them - this is one of my favorite songs to sing harmony to-I have exactly the same range as Mama Cass ( although my voice isn't as good as hers - I can match her note for note so this song is so FUN for me to sing)

@aidan,
sorry - the second song I meant to post was this one - very fun to sing harmony to:

thanks David for reminding me of San Francisco - what a beautiful song that is - absolutely no need for you to be embarrassed - even Barry Goldwater would forgive you for liking that song.

@aidan,
I was very fond of them (especially Michelle).
I was referring to Scott McKensie.
Until now, I was not aware that thay had done it.

@OmSigDAVID,
David - If I'm not mistaken - they were the first - I'll have to look up Scott McKensie - I don't know who he is.

@aidan,
Yes, in 1964 Goldwater used San Francisco
for his nominating convention. However,
by that time, Lee Harvey Oswald had already
assassinated Goldwater's presidential career.

The song was a hit, around for a long time.
Whenever I saw it or heard it, he was singing it.
He must have been on American Bandstand with it,
maybe Ed Sullivan.

When I was in the hospital with sequelae of abdominal surgery
in 2005, I used to watch the Momas & the Pappas a lot.

Pretty much any song by the Supremes. Brings back memories of my best friend in high school She had all of their albums.

This song, plus half of my favorites from those days. What's embarrassing is, the girls they sing about are sixteen or so, but I still like those songs.

@boomerang,
I like that song. At one time, I would not listen to Dolly, but now I look forward to her songs.
