Just testing. To see if I can still post from YouTube under their new set-up.

These probably won't work. I couldn't post from there earlier in the day.

@msolga,
Hmmmm ...

It's working now, but may not later.

Earlier today an embedded clip, which work fine at first, went kaput a while later.

I was Googling "Charles Darwin" & came across this. Rather lovely, I thought. :

Charlie Darwin

Set the sails I feel the winds a’stirring
Toward the bright horizon set the way
Cast your reckless dreams upon our Mayflower
Haven from the world and her decay

And who could heed the words of Charlie Darwin
Fighting for a system built to fail
Spooning water from their broken vessels
As far as I can see there is no land

Oh my god, the waters all around us
Oh my god, it’s all around

And who could heed the words of Charlie Darwin
The lords of war just profit from decay
And trade their children’s promise for the jingle
The way we trade our hard earned time for pay

Oh my god, the waters cold and shapeless
Oh my god, it’s all around
Oh my god, life is cold and formless
Oh my god, it’s all around

@djjd62,
Success at last, djjd! Very Happy

It's now (finally, finally!) on my play-list after a few attempts with strange results. Neutral Confused Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I love it! Thank you.

I'm certain I'll be playing this a lot.

And thanks for your behind the scenes help with my "technical challenges". Much appreciated.

He (Graham Parker) sounds a little like early Dylan on some of the tracks.

And fancy that!: GP singing No Woman No Cry! Amazing.

@msolga,
The "other" version of Discovering Japan, from the Squeezing out Sparks album. Much noisier! Smile :

My favourite Melbourne (Oz) band in the late 1970s.
Great band, plus I think I might have been a little bit besotted by the lead singer. Wink Very Happy

@msolga,
I wish I'd found more of the Sports songs I listened to (mainly on RRR local FM community radio) way back in the very late 1970s (Reckless was my very favourite!), but alas, they can't be found on youtube. Sad
Nor can I find later, more recent (solo) Stephen Cummings.
A real shame. Good music it was & still is.
