Disappearing toolbar symbols

Reply Mon 23 Nov, 2009 10:28 am
The text alignment symbols have disappeared from my Word toolbar. All the help I get from checking Word Help is to go to Format, but nothing in the Format menu is of any use.

I need to be able to do right alignment as well as the ordinary alignments.

This has happened before, but for the life of me I can't remember the solution!

I know I can go to Page Setup, but it's a nuisance having to do it each time. Anyway, the symbols SHOULD be there, and on principle I don't like it when they aren't - it makes me worry whether something's really wrong.

Tom, what version of Word do you have?

You can find this by clicking on Help, then About Microsoft Office Word.
