Ladies, would you ever use the services of a prostitute?

I don't mean one of those drop dead gorgeous, self absorbed gigilo types you see at the movies.

If you saw a man who was attractive to you in a regular sort of way (as in "I'd do him"), and he was will to satisfy you in return for payment, would you do it?

If you're married, involved at this time, would you do it if you were single?

Years ago, I would have said no.

Now, given the right circumstances, why not?
I don't feel I'd be acting immorally if I wasn't betraying a partner. I can't get pregnant. If I wanted sex, but didn't want to expend the mental energy needed to get involved in a relationship, it seems the simplest, if you had the money.
There wouldn't be any worries about sleeping with a new guy, as in "does he think I'm too fat? Am I pleasing him? What's he thinking?"

I would just have to be certain that #1, I was safe, and 2, the guy didn't have a communicable disease.

@chai2,
I don't think I'd have to pay for it (yet), but anyway, I prefer it when there's more to it than the physical. Not to say ... uh, never mind.

Sure, but do we have to have sex? I really need someone strong to move a bunch of boxes out of the basement, install some closet shelving and change the oil in my truck.

Sorry - I can't get that turned on that quickly. I have to have some kind of attraction besides the physical. I am beyond the stage where I need all that outside stuff.
- And he would have to cook breakfast, later.

@Green Witch,
good answer green witch. you've got your priorities straight.

msolga, respecting your no answer, but curious as to why no.

why will a woman go to a club, and let herself get picked up by and go home with a stranger for a one night stand?

Wally and I knew this older lady, Helen, who had been married a whole basketful of times. At that time she was currently single, and was always on the prowl....not for a man to just sleep with, but a new husband. It wasn't about money or anything. It was because she made it clear she had never had sex with a man she wasn't married to. So, when she wanted sex, she made sure she fell in love with the guy she wanted to screw.

I hear about men, as they mature, getting in touch with their sensitive side, their feminine side.

The more mature I get, the more I appreciate my masculine side. I think many people have looked at my practical nature with suspicion over the years. Now that I don't have all this estrogen ruling, or at least influencing my moods, I feel more at ease cutting to the chase.

I love my husband dearly, but if he was gone, I wouldn't be in any big rush to look for a replacement.

It would be completely out of character, apart from anything else, chai.

I just can't see myself cavorting with a fancy man!

Besides, I don't think I'd respect myself in the morning! Laughing

Me, too. I call him "in-house tech support." Laughing

Seriously, I can't see myself hiring a man for sex. If I had to pay him, it would be a huge turn-off.

@Ionus,
Nah, Ionus. Smile

It's the lovely fellow that comes around & fixes my leaking roof, repairs the toilet, useful stuff like that ...

He's a gem. I wouldn't go swapping him for any old gigolo. Good, reliable handymen are hard to find!
