@djjd62,
Goodness me. Sounds like a "collectors item", that album.

I would love to hear PB singing "The Wind Cries Mary". Wink

No, no. No need to post a link! It's OK! Laughing

@LionTamerX,
Thank you so much for the info...just what I was looking for. Whether you agree with him or not, you have to admire his consistency and adhering to his beliefs even when they were unpopular and hurt him professionally. Even Ozzy only had good things to say about the guy.

I found this . . . Pat Boone, communicates with . . . GASP! NEWSMAX!!!!!

NewsMax
Monday, May 24, 2004

Recently, entertainer Pat Boone wrote NewsMax editor Christopher Ruddy a letter regarding his feelings on Abu Ghraib and Iraq, the contents of which are published here with permission:

Mr. Christopher Ruddy
Editor, NewsMax

Dear Chris,

Hasn't anybody got the guts to accuse the worst perpetrator in this whole Abu Ghraib prison debacle - CBS and 60 Minutes II?

What do you call it when, in time of war, someone takes military intelligence and turns it over to the enemy, who in turn uses it to kill Americans?

Isn't that the definition of treason? Did Benedict Arnold do worse? Did Julias and Ethel Rosenberg pay with their lives for something like this?

@plainoldme,
Also found an old AP clip describing how Boone was asked to replace the fallen Jim Bakker and Jerry Falwell . . . another in which he compared Proposition 8 to the Terrorist attacks on Mumbai and accused Donny Osmond of paling around with terrorists. He also compared health care reform to water boarding. Well, after five pages of googled stuff, I became bored . . .the most interesting thing was that although I typed Pat Boone sex scandals in the search box, the results mixed a great deal of Vatican material with Boone stuff.
