There's a man on a building and he jumps. Where is he at?

Someone, anyone, please help answer this very hard riddle.....my family and friends have been going crazy since we first heard it!

1. He is in the air because it doesn't say whether he has landed or not.
2. He is on the building because it doesn't say he jumped OFF the building.

Thank you for your answers, but we were told by the one person who knows the answer....
1.that is after he jumps.
2. that is before he jumps.

He's still on the roof. You didn't say he jumped off the building. You just wrote he jumped. I'm assuming he just jumped up and down.
