I've got McAfee. No complaints so far. It's been great.

@ozexec,
I've tried 3 different types of antivirus on the computers I've owned in my life.
McAfee, Symantec Norton, and one of the open source. I can't remember which one. I had it awhile back when I couldn't afford to keep subscribing to either of the two biggies listed above. Didn't keep it because it was terribly slow and it wasn't user friendly for those without an administrative/IT background.

In this computer, I have Norton 2008 I believe. When I finally land a job I plan to upgrade to the latest edition, Norton 2010 because its getting monstrously rave reviews (system speed wise, etc....)

@ozexec,
I use Panda. No virus damage to date, but that may because there have been no attacks.

I've had really bad luck updating Norton/Symantic in the past, so regardless of any savings offered, I no longer even attempt to upgrade online. That means a new program at retail every year.

McAfee and Norton are the only two I've ever even heard of.

But, then, I'm only semi-literate when it comes to 'puters.

I should have mentioned that I get the McAfee for free. We use it at work and part of the company's licence agreement is that it can be distributed to the employees free of charge.

We use Kapersky, and i like it better than anything we previously had. It has been cosistently stopping worms and trojan horses which McAffee and Norton did not catch in the past, and this is the same ISP and we visit the same sites.

I use Panda (cloud) and Avast. Used to use AVG for a long while. No problems so far with any of them.

I use Norton Internet Security 2011. It does everything I want it to do, automatically, without me "messing" with it.
