german INFLATION bank note
--------------------------------------
issued at a value of 1,000 mark in december 1922 , it was shortly thereafter overprinted
with "1 millard marks " !
the bank note company couldn't keep up with printing new money and started to overprint notes !
on dec 1 , 1923 it was finally over . the german currency was revalued and some sanity came back to the financial system .
as kids we had stacks of this "inflation" money that we used as "playmoney" since it had become worthless .
