Bill Shoemaker passed away in his sleep last night.

Hope you and Ferdinand are now reunited Smile

By far the greatest jockey in the history of racing. His heart, courage and perserverance are a shining example of the human spirit.

How sad. I've been hearing the name Bill Shoemaker for most of my adult life. He's had a long and successful career with horses. I think his name is probably the only name of a jockey that I instantly recognize.
