Quietly gathering the thoughts that give way
To moments of memory
That aren't just the past,
but lyrics that linger
A smudge on a glass,
No color or texture
Just fading to black
A charcoal sketched briefly
But one that will last.
A wave of the hand will dismiss
The pain,
So drolly disguised
As the the teardrops of rain.
BrandX, This category is feeling the dearth of response. It hurts my heart that the minds of creativity no longer meld. Thank you.

What the hell are you laughin at, edgar. This poem was written for the boxed ears brigade. You just became a member.
for edgar of the deep and cryptic.

It's lonely, as Edgar has stolen the show.

I used the wrong little face. I meant to use the one after, with the lol on it.

As I have said in other threads, I all too often fail to tell other writers how much I appreciate them. You and Letty and just about every other poster in ORIGINAL WRITING are special to me. I hope you and they continue to do your good work.

I feel the same, I enjoy reading them all too, and hope to see more here.

I am not too swift with the little faces. I meant to convey that I like what you wrote - and I also agree with your statement on the dearth of response here. Some good writers have passed through and gone on to other things. I felt pretty discouraged over the response to some of my stuff and came close to pulling out, early on. But, I am a glutton for punishment, and I have also made enough friends on a2k that I would not consider pulling out now.
My greatest fault I guess is in failing to communicate with other posters. It is from a reticense pounded into me in childhood, more than anything else. I never overcame the outside-looking-in syndrome. Also, I hate to explain myself and what I write. I prefer to let the reader experience it in their own unique way instead of telling them what to think or feel.

edgar, good grief. You and I have been swapping poetry for some time now. I was being funny. The reason that I like to get in the original writing category occasionally. is because I want some feedback just as you have given me. I need it just as we all do. Thanks, buddy
