Continue drum lessons or not?

or mebbe he starts playing (I hate referring to it as practice - makes the whole thing seem more torturous) independently and shows he's ready for classes again at some point in the future

goodbye/no goodbye - maybe it's a see-you-later, not a goodbye

I'm not knockin it. I was strapped into one for 12 months when I was 9.
Surely that fueled my desire to play a light portable keyboard eventually.

Mo and I go out for lunch every couple of weeks just to sit still and catch up and yak. Today we went out to lunch and I broke the news about no more drum lessons.

He flat out refused to believe me. It was the damnedest thing.

So tonight over dinner we revisited the issue along with Mr. B.

And he STILL doesn't believe us.

"But.... but..... but..... but.... I LOVE my drum lessons....... I'm really getting better. I'm pretty good. I LOVE my drum lessons."

I feel like a total asshole.

Maybe, with luck and creativity, u can find a less expensive
and a less noisy substitute that he will love equally well or better.

If he loves drumming so much, he'll drum with or without lessons.

If he loves drum lessons so much, he'll do the work (practice/playing) at home and do what he needs to do to get back to those lessons.

(I'm still advocating for drum camp for him for next summer
)
