"My father's son" would be the man speaking. Therefore, "this man's father" is the person speaking, and so "this man" has to be the speaker's son.

"this man's father is my fathers son" "My fathers son" would refer to himself, but "This man's father," Refers to this child. Explanation if fathers son means himself than man's father means one step down-his kid
