How do I answer someone's post using selected quotes from their post?
Using quotes from a second post in the same answer?

these are the quote tags:
Code:[quote] <text> [/quote]
the quote button automatically inserts the quote tags into the reply...

there is no easy way to add quotes from other posts.
the best method is to open a simple word editor (wordpad, notepad) or a blank e-mail message, and use that to compose your reply.

always preview your reply before submitting it...

@Region Philbis,
The easiest way for me is to place the first quote using the quote function. Then, I'll minimize the current screen, open a2k again in a separate window, use the quote function again, and copy the text box contents with the new quote. Now, I minimize that window and copy the second quote into the original reply.

I can't say this is a bit easier, but it is less complicated than it sounds.

Me, I click on the quote button, stare at the quote, then just delete the parts I don't want to quote. No big deal.

I don't see a "quote" button. How do I get this fixed?

Huh? What array of functions? When I click on the 'little green thingy' all that happens is the toolbar under the 'little green thingy' disappears. I dunno what to do next except go back to the thread and click on reply again.

@Advocate,
Click on 'my preferences' at the bottom of this page, Advocate. It will take you to a menu of options including a quote button visible at each post.
