JUSTICE or VENGEANCE: ANY DIFFERENCE ?

@OmSigDAVID,
Why should I be irritated at your silliness.

See Thomas' response for why I suggested you look at the definitions. You then made up definitions rather than actually looking at the real ones which show WHY there is a difference between the two. That isn't a discussion David.

Your thread makes as much sense as if you had started with:

Cold or Hot: Any Difference?
If you remove the principle of temperature aren't they really the same thing? Discuss.

When someone points out that your question is a logical fallacy, you want to pretend they are irritated? OK.. go ahead. It doesn't win you any points however.

R u implying that so long as dictionaries exist,
I shoud censor myself from offering our fellow denizens of A2K
the opportunity to comment upon the subject matter ?

No, I implied that the words themselves if properly used are a comment on the subject matter.

In other words, r u implying to me:
"shut up and read the book " ?

No, I am implying you are stupid for commenting without reading the book. You are free to be stupid any time you want. After all, you have a gun that you don't know how to put to use in case of a government that removes your rights.

Tho I might not win any Olympic gold medals for marksmanship,
I have fairly well developed skills with my defensive armament
and I said nothing inconsistent therewith.

I can comment upon the adequacy of your demonstrated reading ability,
but I prefer civility to taking any cheap shots.

I could call you a stupid git but I prefer civility to taking any cheap shots.

Laughing

Isn't it nice to be so civilized?

wild? That is an interesting choice of words there Finn. Why do you think David drives me wild?

I pointed out the dictionary shows a difference between vengeance and justice. He made up definitions as he does spelling. It doesn't drive me wild. I just pointed it out. Why does it drive you wild that I did so?

Simple.

I assume he drives you wild, because you consistently comment that his posts are not worth responses and yet you consistently respond to them; your response consistently being - You're posts are not worth a response!

Obviously, in this case, "wild" is used as a synonym for "nuts," "to distraction," "blathering," or some similar word or phrase.

Responding to posts you believe to be unworthy of a response is not indicative of rational thinking. It is indicative of a desire to ridicule or scorn though.

Where did I say that his posts weren't worth a response? You might not like my response, but I never said his posts didn't merit one.

This seems to be your counter-argument:

"There is no posting on A2K, no matter how inspid I may find it, that is not deserving of a response, albeit one dripping with derision and scorn, from the mighty truth-sayer, parados."

OK.

I guess this is in keeping with the spirit of the A2K TOS as well.

@Finn dAbuzz,
I am rather enjoying your posts Finn. Your use of irony is sublime.

(Although I would guess unintentional on your part.)

Good grief but this is a pathetic attempt at being snarky.

You need to spend more time studying Maureen Dowd if you wish to play such a game.

@Finn dAbuzz,
I wasn't being snarky at all. I was being honest. I am finding your posts quite enjoyable.

Whatever became of him?

All last week I did not see him on TV.

@OmSigDAVID,

I hope that no one has taken vengeance upon him.
