OMG.. There are solar panels on Mars and Gunga has the pictures to prove it.

Here's what it makes me wonder... Could it be that our own planet was a zoo or bio-park of some sort with dangerous animals, with civilized people living on Mars and/or one or two other places in the system, and then when it seemed likely that our planet, because of its size, might be the only thing which might survive the impending catastrophe, a certain number of people came here while others headed outward to the near stars??

That of course just kicks the can a bit further down the road as far as evolution which is still impossible, but it would explain why there is no evidence of a plausible human ancestor on this planet.
