I learned the other day that no New York Mets pitcher has ever thrown a no-hitter. Not ever. It was a pretty surprising factoid considering all the ace pitchers who have passed through the Mets organization. According to Wikipedia, there have been 14 pitchers who threw no-hitters before or after becoming Mets (including Hideo Nomo, who falls into both categories), but no one who threw one as a Met.
Share your fun sports factoids here. (Doesn't have to be just baseball.)
As a former Met, Dodger, Giant, and Yankee, Darryl Strawberry is the only baseball player to play for all four NY- or formerly-NY based MLB teams.
