I wlaked through heaven a short time ago.
It was covered in trees and white with snow.
A blonde angel stood often by my side
and showed me a gift only God could hide.
The gift was the angel with hair of gold
the warmth with I need not be told.

Back on earth I cry in my sleep
Wishing for only that time would keep
Until I return to this angel with hair of Gold
To be with forever to love and to hold.

Hello, oldasrocks. This poem makes me think that maybe you are missing someone you love, who had gone before you. Very sad and touching. I've lost a love, too.

Actually the poem was to a blonde I was dating after my divorce in 92. She dumped me for her old boyfriend. I am now happily married to a super lady I met on the Internet. WE all have lost loves I think.
As I was walking in the Spring
I realized, that if man could only change his ways
As nature bringing change with days
How great a world this change might bring.

A blonde who dumped you? LOL! Glad to see you survived that with such a wonderful outcome. Congratulations. Looking forward to your next poem.
