She finally gave in to cancer. RIP
@edgarblythe,
She was pretty sick, I can seem to remember hearing about it on TV. Very sad. I don't think she was that old, was she?
She's been sick for some time. May she now rest in peace. And hopefully Ryan O'Neal and their very troubled son, in prison on drug charges, will get themselves together. Can't help but wonder if they let him out to see her one last time. Sad.
He did get to see her one last time. He was chained and shackled and in the company of prison guards but he saw her. When I was young I had her poster in my room forever.
@NickFun,
Was this the poster? It's the one that made her famous. I had it up in my room for a very long time, also.
That's how I'll always remember her.
yes I had that poster and I had her shampoo!
There were wedding plans. Did she pass before that happened.
"She truly was a Texas beauty''. She was my grandson's cousin on his mom's side of the family.
@InfraBlue,
My girlfriends and I would use empty Campbell soup cans as hair curlers to try and get that look. I never noticed her nipple before in the poster, it shows how young I was when it was popular.
@Sglass,
no they didnt marry - she was too sick.
@InfraBlue,
I heard they sold 12 million of these posters.
I watched part of her documentary - I couldn't watch the whole thing just too difficult for me to watch some one hurting so much.
@Green Witch,
Ohhh, back in the day, I noticed the nipple before I noticed anything else in that poster. Gazing upon that nipple did magical things to the body of a pre-adolecent boy.
