Ok, first try.
What I feel is what I've felt,
Everyday is parallel.
Take your time to be with me,
Help me change our history.
What we see is more than real,
Even if it's in shades of teal.
Take your time and share with me,
Let me breathe you quietly.
thanks JoeFX ...welcome to the post
Thanks willow, I'll return from time to time to this thread.
I've always been mad
And kinda sad
Because I don't know Autocad
I wanna have a bachelor's pad
So I can act a little bad
And be known as joe the rad
But I don't wanna be a dad
Because they've always had
A pain in the nad
The good night comes like an autumn rain,
A too stiff to rattle chain,
Or else comes in the sonorous tones
Of priests and sickly moans.
Got distracted. Lost the train of thought.
theres a bubble in the air
i see the reflection upon the surface
the face is not mine
the face upon it is yours
i blink my eyes
but still it is you
i hold my breath
I turn around
there you are
then i remember
you were there all along
i scattered a poem
across the lawn
birds ate the pieces
every one
i threw a poem
into the sky
they sprouted wings
by which to fly
I lost a poem
along the shore
washed away
to be no more
I shot a poem
hit an angel
she burst into stars
and a little spangle
I wrote a poem
to start the day
forgotten words
I used to pray
I found a poem on the beach
read it once and trotted by
with bare toe tips digging sand
for miles more I did remember all but one word
wished to god somebody else had heard
that simple sweetness, opened my mind
when I ran back, the sand grew long
couldn't find where that old poem had gone
it was your poem
You found my poem
how good of you
you're thoughts are kind
why thank you stuh
i was walt whitman singing about some grass
i was henry longfellow tagging hiawatha's ass
i was edgar poe getting mellow on some hash
i was kerouac writing the oceans boom and crash
i was one of the best minds of ginsburg's generation
destroyed by madness
i wrote a poem on an outhouse wall
one last poem
got to write on the run
lettuce and tomatoes
and a seedy bun
Have it your way
grab your hat
here or take out
like some fries
with that
ketchups are vegetables
and mesas are tables
yams aint gams
they're betty grables
Bravo bravo
more more
ya gots me rolling
on the floor
i asked seal poet for a harbor seal rhyme
he told me sure i write them all of the time
i asked where he's been hiding in this day and age
he said he took to living among the subtle adage
